I am taking orders for watercolour paintings. These originals start from £50 for a single beastie, £100 for a pair of beasties and if you would like to capture more than 2 beasties I can provide you with a quotation. If you would like to talk to me about a DRC Illustration commission, why not :

How to order a commission
- Use my Contact page or if you are on Facebook, contact me via DRC Illustrations on Facebook.
- Let me know what you would like to commission and I will give you a quote if there’s more than one animal to be painted.
- I need you to send lots of good quality, clear photos. I can only work off what I am given so the more the better. Images of unique markings are essential. I am pretty good at picking up on personality by looking at reference photos and of course discussing the critter with the client.
- This next sentence is really important
If you have a pet that is clipped regularly or in the case of horses, their coat changes colour seasonally, then tell me which fur length you want. A dog can look completely different in pics before and after they have been to the groomers! - I can incorporate collars and name tags with initials and even favourite toys!
- The next step is me sketching your commission. I will send you a photo of the image and it’s at this stage any changes can be made.
- Once you have OK’d the sketch, I will ask for payment. This will preferably be by bank transfer or if you want to use a good ol’ fashioned cheque then I charge an extra 5% to cover charges.
- I then start to paint and throughout the process I will keep you up to date with the progress.
- Once the painting is finished, it will be mounted, backed and packaged in a cellophane sleeve.
- Then it’s off to the post office where I will obtain a tracking number and pass this on to you so you can see where your commission is on its journey!
Donna done an amazing job of painting 4 dogs as a gift for my mams birthday and she is over the moon with it. Their characters were all captured so well. Thank you so much x

Having a full time job can encroach on painting time. This also means I operate a waiting list but I will be working ma wee butt off I can assure you. From your initial enquiry, I aim for you to take delivery within 3 weeks but this is sometimes a lot quicker, depends on the time of year i.e. Christmas is busy.
Message me any queries and I will happily help. Oh and be prepared for dialect typing at times. I am Scottish and I do tend to forget and type how I talk! Google translate hasna advanced that fer yit but if ee er strugglin’, joost ask!
