Oakie – original artwork download

From my fairy collection I bring you Oakie! Have you ever when walking through an old woodland, come across acorns that have fallen from their parent tree? Oakie leaves the nuts but uses the cups to make rather fetching hats for herself and friends. She looks after Oak trees, flitting about the canopy keeping an eye on all the other critters her chosen tree provides a home for. She’s a wise spirit and you should ask her any questions you might have if you’re lucky enough to see her. Oak trees are so important to nature because they are tall, strong and very wise. When they are mature they have been around hundreds of years and connect the earth with their roots to sky with their branches and leaves.  Do you know where your nearest oak trees are?
